Emma Watson’s alleged nude photo leak stirs global frenzy—but shocking revelations claim it was nothing more than a publicity stunt. Fans are left stunned by the explosive truth!
After threatening to release sensitive secrets of actress Emma Watson and even counting down the time, the website “EmmaYouAreNext” has been revealed to be a marketing ploy. Currently, when Internet users type the website address above, they will be directed to the homepage of a US company called Rantic.
On the homepage of Rantic is a message calling for the closure of the website 4chan – where sensitive photos of a series of female stars such as Jennifer Lawrence, Kim Kardashian… have been widely distributed in recent times.
The message reads: “Shut down 4Chan. Please join us in shutting down 4Chan and helping to stop the spread of nude photos. None of the victims deserve this and together we can make a difference. EmmaYouAreNext.com has received 48 million visits, 7 million shares/Likes on Facebook and 3 million mentions on Twitter in the past time.”
Previously, the EmmaYouAreNext.com page featured a four-day countdown clock and an image of Emma Watson wiping away tears, leading many to believe that hackers would release nude photos of the British star. The incident occurred just hours after the “Harry Potter” actress gave a speech at the United Nations on gender equality.
Despite calling for a good cause, Rantic is currently facing criticism from social media users for ethical reasons for using Emma Watson to attract attention. One internet user declared: “The Rantic guys are scumbags. If you think using Emma to promote yourself and act like a professional PR act then you have no soul.” The BBC said it tried to contact Rantic but emails were automatically returned.
