Hank Williams Jr.’s children have embraced their family’s country music heritage, each making their own mark in the industry.
The country legend, best known for A Country Boy Can Survive, welcomed his first child, Hank Williams III, with ex-wife Gwen Yeargain. After their divorce, he had daughters Hilary and Holly with Becky White. Later, he and Mary Jane Thomas had two children together—Katherine and Samuel.
Despite growing up with a famous father, Hank Jr.’s kids recall a down-to-earth upbringing. “My dad did not want to talk about music when he was off the road,” Holly told WATE 6. “He would always say, ‘I’m not Bocephus. I’m daddy.’”

Born Dec. 12, 1972, Hank Williams III—also known as Hank 3—pursued a career blending country, rock, and punk influences. His 1999 debut album, Risin’ Outlaw, introduced him to country audiences, while 2006’s Straight to Hell embraced outlaw country and rock sounds. His last studio album, Ramblin’ Man (2014), was heavily inspired by his grandfather, Hank Williams Sr.
Though he has mostly stepped away from the public eye, his son, Coleman Williams, has followed in the family’s musical footsteps.

Sisters Hilary and Holly also found success in music. Hilary, a singer-songwriter, released My Lucky Scars in 2018, while Holly, a country artist, has toured extensively and released albums like The Highway (2013).
Samuel Williams, 27
Samuel, the youngest son, is also a musician. His debut album, Glasshouse Children (2021), was deeply personal, especially following the loss of his sister, Katherine.

Tragically, Katherine passed away in a car accident in 2020 at the age of 27. She was married with two children and largely lived outside the public eye.
Hank Williams Jr.’s legacy continues to thrive through his children’s music, each carrying a part of the family’s rich history forward.
