This sweet story will remind us that dogs are some of the kindest creatures on earth. Meet Kristin Leigh Rhynehart, a woman who lives in Raleigh, New Jersey, with her family and rescue dog, Raven. Kristin adopted Raven 10 years ago and has never regretted her decision for a second.

Since moving into Kristin’s family, Raven has brought the family joy and rewarded them with so much love and loyalty. He has become a member and a trusted companion of the family.
One day, while her toddler Addison napped, Kristin walked around her house to look for Raven, but she couldn’t find him anywhere. From the living room, the kitchen, and all of Raven’s favorite spots, she didn’t see any sign of him. She panicked and thought her dog had gone missing.

After searching every nook and cranny, her daughter’s room was the only spot left to look. When Kristin opened the door, she didn’t realize the surprise waiting for her. Addison lay sleeping in her crib under the covers, with Raven tucked in, asleep beside her as a gentle guardian.
Kristin could relax as her beloved dog was safe and was the perfect bodyguard. She also filmed the touching moment and posted the clip on YouTube and Facebook. Watch the tenderness and love in the video below and you’ll understand why the video went viral and so many people love it.
Alongside the video, Kristin also shared a heartwarming message: “People who say ‘money can’t buy happiness’ have never paid an adoption fee,” Kristin wrote on YouTube. “10 years ago, I left a rescue with this little guy, and I often wonder… who rescued who? I gave him a home, but he gave me so much more.”
