Eminem has taken sharp aim at Sean “Diddy” Combs in multiple tracks from his new album *The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)*, particularly focusing on Diddy’s controversial past and ongoing legal troubles.
In the track “Antichrist,” Eminem references the infamous hotel hallway attack on Cassie Ventura, rapping about the disturbing footage from a 2016 incident where Combs chased Ventura down a hotel corridor before assaulting her. Eminem’s lyrics convey a mix of dark humor and criticism, as he states:
> “Next idiot ask me is gettin’ his ass beat worse than Diddy did / But on the real, though / She prolly ran out the room with his f***in’ dildo / He tried to field goal punt her, she said to chill / Now put it back in my ass and get the steel toe.”
Additionally, in the song “Fuel,” Eminem addresses the numerous sexual assault and sex trafficking lawsuits facing Combs, comparing him to Duane “Keefe D” Davis, who is allegedly linked to the murder of Tupac Shakur. Eminem raps:
> “I’m like a R-A-P-E-R / Got so many S-As, S-As [Sexual Assaults] / Wait, he didn’t just spell the word, ‘Rapper’ and leave out a P, did he? (Yep) / R.I.P., rest in peace, Biggie / And Pac, both of y’all should be living / But I ain’t tryna beef with him‘ / Cause he might put a hit on me like Keefe D did / And that’s the only way you’re gonna be killing me.”
Eminem returns to the subject in another track, “Bad One,” which alleges that Combs orchestrated an explosive incident involving rapper Kid Cudi during his relationship with Ventura.
These lyrical jabs come in the context of Combs facing a series of serious allegations, including ten lawsuits alleging sexual misconduct, prompting Eminem to leverage the situation for both commentary and criticism in his music. Despite the severity of the allegations, Combs has denied any wrongdoing and has not yet been formally charged with a crime in connection to the investigations.
