A baby boy stunned medical staff after being born with a mop of pure white hair.
Little Archie Stone was born with thick hair as white as snow.
The adorable baby’s unusual locks left midwives so stunned they took him on a tour of the hospital to show other medics.
Mum Gemma, 34, said: “He gets so much attention.
“The hospital staff had never seen a baby with so much and so blonde. He had a little tour around with the midwives which was funny.”
But for Gemma, Archie’s hair was nothing out of the ordinary – because her two other children were born with white hair.
Gemma, who shares Archie, Kai, 10 and four-year-old Lilly with husband Ash, says she was crippled with heartburn throughout all three pregnancies, suggesting there may be some truth to the old wives tale about heartburn and hair.
She said: “He is my third to be born with such white hair, so I found it rather funny, I joked they are absorbing all my bleach.
“Both my older children were both born with mops of hair.
“They say heartburn is a sign of lots of hair, I’m not sure if it’s true but I had a lot.”
The mum-of-three, from Wokingham in Berkshire, says she now has strangers approaching her in the street to comment on how thick and white her baby boy’s hair is.
And it doesn’t look like the attention will wane anytime soon, as if Archie is anything like his older siblings, he looks destine to keep his stunning snow-white hair.
Gemma added: “Archie’s is curly while the other two were not. They still have very blonde hair. I just hope he keeps his curls.”
