A Royal expert suggests there’s a calculated motive behind Prince Harry’s recent spate of solo engagements, sans Meghan Markle.
Harry has globe-trotted alone in the previous month, hitting New York, London, and Southern Africa to champion causes dear to him. At the same time, Meghan has been rocking solo appearances too, dazzling at a children’s hospital gala in a stunning red gown and celebrating International Day of the Girl with young women.
This shift is striking compared to a few years back when the pair made headlines by stepping back as senior royals and rarely missed joint public outings.

Speaking to The Sun, Seward opined: “But I don’t see the same thing for Meghan. Deep down people still love Prince Harry, and they want to love him, I think they’re just very, very disappointed in him. He made millions out of Spare, but he seriously has paid for it, because it’s done his reputation an immeasurable amount of harm, especially with his family, but the way that people view him.”
Witnessing Harry resuming his advocacy work is promising, Ingrid noted: “It’s really good to see a glimpse of the old Harry… and, hopefully, it will resonate with him too.”
A friend of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has revealed that the couple is undergoing a significant change, as evidenced by their recent solo appearances. Meghan once described her relationship with Harry as being like “salt and pepper” always moving together.
However, this hasn’t been the case in recent weeks since their tour of Colombia in August, leading to speculation about why this might be.
A source close to the couple explained that the reason for the solo appearances is due to a shift in their ventures. The friend told People magazine: “It’s clear that a twin-track approach is evolving.”
Another friend added: “The Duke and Duchess have now hit their stride as individuals not just as a couple. The Duke appears focused on his patronage work, and the Duchess focused on her entrepreneurial track.”
“An entrepreneurial and enterprise focus is going to be more the Duchess’s priority and the Duke will continue to champion his not-for-profit patronages. But there will be joint efforts around those cause-driven areas of work.”
Regarding Meghan’s recent absence, the friend clarified that it doesn’t signal a split but rather reflects parenting priorities, with one of them staying behind with the children.
